Thank you for your interest in attending Ricardo Flores Magón Academy! Like all charter schools, RFMA is a tuition-free school that has the flexibility to be innovative while striving towards student achievement and a unique school culture. We proudly use non-discriminatory enrollment practices—there are no test-in requirements, and we welcome all students regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, or religion. Enrollment for Students with Disabilities

Additional Enrollment Information

The RFMA team will review the Enrollment Form and offer seats on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability in each of the classrooms.

If a classroom is full, families will be assigned a formal waitlist number and requested to submit the items in the Enrollment Checklist below. Students will be placed according to their formal waitlist number as additional classroom seats become available.

 

Exemptions from the waitlist include:
  • Returning students and family of students currently enrolled in a RFMA school.
  • Dependents of RFMA founders and staff members, which will be limited to 10 percent of the enrollment of the school. 

 

Upon acceptance, families are required to provide the following information:
New Students (Enrollment Checklist)
  • Student Birth Certificate (passport, state-issued ID, adoption record, baptismal record, an affidavit from a parent, a religious, hospital, or physician’s certificate showing date of birth)
  • Health and Immunization Records
  • Parent Identification
  • Proof of Residence
  • A copy of IEP or other SPED documents (If Applicable)
  • Previous Behavior/Attendance School Records
  • Transcript/Report Card from Previous School
